DALLAS — The Dallas Zoo is celebrating the newest addition to its family.
A baby elephant arrived in the early hours of Sunday, Feb. 26, at 2:27 a.m. He is almost three weeks old, and is named Okubili.
His name means “two” or “duplicate” in Zulu, and the zoo says it’s perfect for him because he is a carbon copy of second-time mom, Mlilo.
The zoo says both mom and the little one are doing well. Watch the video below to see how Okubili's first 10 days of life went.
