DALLAS —  Two employees of Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, were killed in a shooting Saturday morning. 

According to the Dallas Police Department, its officers, Methodist Health System police and Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a call about an active shooter about 11 a.m. 

The shooter shot and killed two people, who were later identified as hospital employees. A Methodist Health System police officer arrived at the scene, confronted the suspect and shot him. The suspect was injured. When the suspect was stabilized, he was detained and taken to another hospital for treatment.

The shooting is under investigation. 

The medical complex is located at the intersection of North Buckley Avenue and East Colorado Boulevard in Dallas.
