DALLAS — Due to a severe weather alert in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will suspend rail operations on Feb. 23 and alter other transit options.
A wintry mix of freezing rain and sleet will spread across the region on Wednesday, with another round of wintry weather expected on Thursday.
Changes in routes, operations
DART bus routes will operate on a Sunday schedule with limited service added on express routes 306, 308, 378 and 383 between 5 a.m. and 9 p.m. Fourteen shuttle bus routes will also be available between rail stations, and shuttle bus service will be available every 45 minutes.
For those needing service to stations in the Central Business District (CBD), DART recommends Route 960, as it is a Downtown Circulator serving West End, Akard, St. Paul and Pearl/Arts District stations. To board a shuttle bus, passengers can keep an eye out for the red “Rail Disruption” bus stop signs near each station.
The Trinity Railway Express (TRE) will operate on a Saturday schedule.
The Dallas Streetcar will not operate, but a shuttle bus will run to and from EBJ Union Station and the Bishop Arts District, making all of its stops.
GoLink on-demand service will operate on a Sunday schedule from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday service is available in the Rylie, Inland Port, Park Cities, North Dallas, Northwest Dallas and West Dallas zones. Visit the DART website for more information on GoLink.
DART Paratransit subscription trips will be canceled until Feb. 24 — with the exception of trips for medical purposes (i.e., dialysis treatment). Customers who need to book trips for Thursday can contact reservations at 214-515-7272 or visit the web portal.
