A few sprinkes will be possible mid-day into the afternoon on Tuesday, but the vast majority of the metroplex will remain mostly sunny and rain-free.

Afternoon highs will be relatively seasonable in the mid 90s, with heat indices near 100 degrees.

Near-normal temperatures will continue through the week with afternoon highs in the mid 90s as an area of increased Gulf moisture tracks westward across Texas, resulting in increased cloud cover. Isolated to scattered showers and storms are expected each afternoon, but the coverage of rain will be hit or miss.

We should see additional showers and storms Thursday into the holiday weekend as a secondary system moves in behind departing high pressure. North Texas will be included in this swath of rain along with the rest of the state.
