It started off humid this morning with dew points near 70 degrees.  With this low level moisture in place count on a cloudy sky and a few light showers just about at any time today.  Highs will be in the low to mid 80s with a breezy southeast wind at 10 to 20 mph.

Expect cloudy skies tonight with patchy drizzle and a few showers.  Lows will be muggy again only dropping into the low 70s.

A large storm system moving through the Desert Southwest today will be impacting our weather the rest of the week into Saturday morning. An upper level disturbance wrapping around the broader area of low pressure will produce a cluster of storms to our west late Wednesday morning.  The timing is a little difficult with the rapidly developing storm system, but these storms could impact the Austin area sometime in the afternoon before exiting during the early evening.  Some of these storms may contain large hail and damaging winds as we our under a slight risk of severe weather.

Once again the timing of the cluster of storms will be difficult due to the rapidly moving disturbances moving through the area, but it appears a weaker disturbance moving through Thursday will trigger scattered showers and thunderstorms.

It appears a stronger upper level disturbance will pass through Friday into Friday night.  This will produce more widespread showers and thunderstorms.  With abundant moisture in place, expect some heavy rains as well.  The rains should finally diminish Saturday morning.  Rainfall totals of 2 to 5" is expected over the course of the week.
