Get ready to be outdoors for our first weekend of December.  We'll mark the start of meteorological winter with temperatures running well above normal.  That is, until our next polar cold front arrives at the start of next week.  Look for sunshine today and highs hitting the upper 70s.

We had a weak cold front pass through the area overnight.  It brought a narrow band of showers and even some thunderstorms to the area as it passed through.  Pea-sized hail was reported from Leander to Round Rock as the front passed through.  The air is drier behind this front, but not much cooler.  Expect highs both today and Sunday to reach the upper 70s, but with a dry air mass in place overnight lows will fall in the upper 40s to near 50.

A stronger cold front will arrive Monday.  It looks like it will go through the area dry but a much colder air mass will follow this front.  Look for our next possible freeze in the Hill Country as soon as Monday night, and almost all of the area could see a light freeze next Tuesday night/Wednesday morning.
