Unless you're suffering from the CEDAR, looks like another wonderful day to be outdoors in Central Texas!  Sunshine continues to rule and, thanks to low humidity and seasonable temperatures, comfort abounds.  Our forecast calls for highs in the mid 60s then temps will drop back to 30s tonight, potentially with another light freeze to start tomorrow.

You might notice a few high clouds mixing in with the sunshine today.  The pattern of cool mornings and mild afternoons will continue until the end of the week, when moisture is expected to rush north of the Gulf of Mexico and turn skies gray again.  Futurecast shows that happening Thursday night, with potential for drizzle and spotty sprinkles for the Friday morning commute.

While we're calling for an overall 30% rain chance Friday through Saturday, the peak of the event will likely happen early Saturday morning when a cold front is scheduled to arrive.  The front originates from the Pacific and looks fairly weak, just enough to drop temps a few degrees for the second half of the weekend.

As it looks now, this upcoming rain event could bring some 1/4" to 1/2" totals to parts of the southern half of Texas.
