Robbie Fuelling joined the Spectrum News 1 team in September of 2020 as the Dallas sports reporter.
He hails from Southern California and is a proud TCU alumnus. Robbie played football under head coach Gary Patterson as a walk-on slot receiver. His favorite memory as a Horned Frog is rushing the field after TCU’s 18-point comeback victory over Stanford in the 2017 Alamo Bowl.
Prior to joining the Spectrum News team, Robbie spent two years as a sports reporter and anchor for the ABC affiliate in Eugene, OR. At KEZI 9 News, he covered the Oregon Ducks, Oregon State Beavers, Portland Trail Blazers, Portland Timbers and so much more. The highlight of his time in the Pacific Northwest was covering the Ducks’ journey to a Pac-12 championship and a Rose Bowl victory.
Robbie is a dog lover (especially black Labradors), a mediocre golfer and a taco connoisseur. When he’s not working, he’s exploring downtown Dallas, watching reruns of Entourage, golfing with friends, working out or perfecting his shredded chicken taco recipe.
He’s driven and passionate about reporting the best sports stories around the metroplex. If you have a tip or story idea, please don’t hesitate to reach out at robert.fuelling@charter.com.
