HOUSTON — People are already booking their next adventures, and one travel agency has compiled a list of the trending destinations for 2025.
The list features places like scenic beach towns and cultural cities along with winter wonderlands and summer paradises and…Houston? That’s right, Texas’ largest city made the list of Booking.com’s trending destinations for next year.
In fact, Houston was the only American city to make the list, coming in at No. 10.
The online travel agency compiled the list by looking at survey responses from over 27,000 people across the world who plan to travel for business or leisure in 2025.
“From stargazing to thrill-seeking or exploring cultural connections, the travel experiences we crave and the destinations we look to are always evolving,” the travel agency said on its website.
According to Booking.com, Houston “offers a distinctive mix of Southern hospitality and cultural vibrancy.”
“From the artsy Montrose district, known for its live music and LGBTQ+ scene, to the colorful East End with its rich Latino culture, the city’s diverse neighborhoods offer something for every visitor,” the list said. “Houston’s world-class food scene, renowned museums, and booming music culture make it a dynamic urban destination.”
Booking.com also recommended for people with only a little bit of time in the fourth-largest city in America to visit NASA’s Johnson Space Center and pair it with a city tour.
The travel website also recommended that visitors travel outside of the city and visit the surrounding areas like Galveston and take some scenic road trips through Texas’ small towns and sprawling ranches.
Booking.com also recommended staying at Reside Houston, which is in the heart of downtown.
