TEXAS — The West Coast is not like us. That’s why Grammy Award-winning artist Kendrick Lamar is making two stops in the Lone Star State on The Grand National Tour next year.
Kendrick Lamar announced the tour Tuesday with SZA as a supporting act. The tour will make stops in Houston at the NRG Stadium on April 23 and at Arlington at the AT&T Stadium on April 26.
The tour announcement comes after the success of Lamar’s surprise album, "GNX," which was released earlier this month, and the highly visible back-and-forth with rapper Drake. The rap beef produced Lamar’s song of the summer and now Grammy-nominated song, “Not Like Us.”
Lamar is also set to headline the halftime show at the Super Bowl in February.
Tickets for the Texas shows will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Dec. 6. Those with a Cash App card will be able to get tickets early on Dec. 4 at 10 a.m. with their presale.
