AUSTIN, Texas — The holidays are around the corner, which means endless amounts of homemade dishes for all to share. But just because it’s Thanksgiving doesn’t mean you have to get your hands dirty. Here are the local Austin restaurants serving up Thanksgiving favorites, from dine-in plates to carry-out meal packages.
Kerbey Lane Cafe
The iconic Austin diner will be open on Thanksgiving day from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m and will serve up filling holiday plates for dine-in and carry-out.
At $19.99 per person, you get:
- Brussels sprouts
- Cornbread stuffing
- Sweet potato casserole
- Mashed potatoes with gravy
- Turkey with gravy
- Cranberry sauce
- One biscuit
The meal is available while supplies last. Participating locations include South, Northwest, University, Southwest, Round Rock and Mueller. No reservations are needed, but you can join the waitlist before you arrive. Details here.
Aba
The South Congress favorite is offering a carry-out Greek-inspired Thanksgiving dinner for two for $119.95.
The meal includes:
- Classic hummus with crudite
- Pumpkin hummus with house bread
- Greek village salad
- Truffle baked orzo
- Beef tenderloin kebab
- Turkey breast with gravy
- Sticky date cake
Orders must be placed by Monday, Nov. 25 at noon. Pickup is Wednesday, Nov. 27. Details here.
The Driskill Hotel
The historic downtown hotel is hosting a festive soiree that includes a Thanksgiving buffet from noon to 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, live music, professional family portraits and valet parking. Tickets are $149 per adult and $49 for kids ages 5-10. See the full menu here.
For those that want carry-out, the hotel is also offering turkey wellingtons with brown gravy to go for $210. Pick up will be at the front desk from Nov. 20-22 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Olamaie
Olamaie is serving up Southern-inspired sides, appetizers, drinks and desserts this Thanksgiving. The lauded downtown restaurant, which just earned its first Michelin Star on Monday, is offering the following meal packages.
Everything But The Turkey package ($195):
Feeds six to eight people
- Mashed potatoes
- Green bean casserole
- Broccoli cheese casserole
- Cornbread stuffing
- Cranberry sauce
- Brown gravy
- Signature biscuits and spreads
Grateful Grazing package ($80):
Feeds up to six people
- Cayenne cheese crackers
- Raspberry pepper jelly and cream cheese dip

- Pickle vegetables
- French onion dip

- Little Ola’s Thanksgiving Pack (includes Everything But The Turkey and Grateful Grazing packages for $245)

Additional fall desserts, a la carte sides, biscuits and spreads and seasonal drinks are also available to add on to orders.

Fresa’s, which specializes in pollo al carbon, is putting a Mexican twist on Thanksgiving with the following meal packages to-go.

Roasted turkey breast meal ($215):

Fresa’s is also offering a “next-day pozole kit,” equipped with everything you need to make approximately two quarts of pozole — just add leftover turkey! For $18, the kit comes with guajillo broth with white hominy and a garnish kit of cabbage, radish and oregano.
