TEXAS — “Austin City Limits” kicks off its 50th season with a new Austin City Limits Hall of Fame honoree on Thursday night.
Garth Brooks will be the only inductee to be honored at the Hall of Fame ceremony. The ceremony will start at 7:30 p.m. at ACL Live at the Moody Center.
There will be a performance by Brooks and his band during the ceremony.
“Flattered and honored does not begin to cover it,” Brooks said in a statement on X. “Thank you ACL for all you’ve done for me and all you mean to music.”
Those without tickets can still catch Brooks’ induction on a special episode of “Austin City Limits” airing on Sept. 28 on PBS.
“Austin City Limits” is celebrating its 50th year anniversary this year. Over the past decade, the “Austin City Limits” Hall of Fame has been paying tribute to the legendary artists who have had a significant impact on the program. Over 20 artists have been honored with induction into the Hall of Fame.
