GEORGETOWN, Texas — An investigation is underway and three people are recovering from injuries after an airplane crashed into the roof of a vacant house in Georgetown, Texas, on Sunday.
Georgetown is located just north of Austin.
According to the Georgetown Fire Department, the crash occurred just before noon in the 500 block of North Wood Drive, which is very near the Georgetown Executive Airport.
The three people who were in the plane were taken to a hospital for treatment. The house, the department said, is a duplex which has no occupants.
As of Monday morning, the wreckage of the plane remained in the roof.
The fire department said the National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
