HURST, Texas — Two North Texas road-rage incidents were reported within 24 hours of each other this week, and one ended in a fatality. Hurst police are investigating the death of a 37-year-old woman, who officials said was met with road rage on Monday night.

Police said Paola Nunez Linares was shot in the head during a road-rage incident. Her husband told police they were driving their minivan northbound on East Loop 820 when they crossed paths with a violent driver.

The driver fired multiple rounds into Linares’ vehicle, hitting her. She was taken to JPS Hospital and later died.

Police shared that the suspect’s car is an older model of small size and dark-colored.

Tuesday, another road-rage shooting called for police to investigate. A man in Fort Worth traveling on the South Freeway headed toward East Felix Street was shot in the left hand after an exchange with another driver. He was treated at the scene for his non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect left the scene, so police have no one in custody yet.
