DALLAS — The State Fair of Texas has wrapped up for 2022, welcoming nearly 2.5 million people over the course of 24 days.

The iconic fair featured new attractions, live music across three stages, educational opportunities and of course, the food and rides. The fair is a nonprofit with proceeds going toward preserving and improving Fair Park. It aims to support the community in various ways, including supporting scholarships programs for students and Fair Park’s museums.

“At its core, the State Fair of Texas is about community,” said State Fair of Texas President Mitchell Glieber. “There is nothing more fulfilling for our team than seeing folks from all walks of life gather together and mutually share and enjoy the Fair. Thanks to our fairgoers visiting, we are able to fulfill our nonprofit mission of supporting agriculture, education, and community involvement year-round.”

To further emphasize its dedication to education, the fair also encourages high school students and employees to apply for the Big Tex college scholarship to help in their pursuance of higher education.

Prep your calendars a year in advance because the dates of the state fair are already set. It will return next Sept. 29 and run through Oct. 22.
