TEXAS — If you want to make your voice heard in the March primary election your time is almost up.
Monday, Jan. 31 is the last day to register in time for the primary, when Texans will narrow the candidates for races including governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general and many more.
Election Day is Tuesday, March 1, and the early voting period is Feb. 14-25.

In order to register to vote for the first time in Texas, you must fill out a paper application and either drop it off or mail it in. If you go the mail route, your application must be postmarked by Monday.
You can find an application here. Fill it out, print it and either mail it or drop it off at your local county voter registrar. You can find a list of offices here.
If you are unable to print your application, they are typically available in government offices, libraries and at some schools.

The primary runoff is set for May 24 and the general election is Nov. 8.
