  • More than 1 million first doses of COVID-19 vaccine will be shipped to providers across Texas this week

  • DSHS is allocating 818,410 doses to providers in 202 counties

  • More than 200,000 additional first doses to be available to pharmacies and federally-qualified health centers directly from the federal government

Still, the department stated, older adults and those with pre-existing conditions will be prioritized.

DSHS says it is also launching a website this week in which Texans will be able to schedule a shot through public health providers.

In addition, Texans will be able to enroll in the Texas Public Health Vaccine Scheduler in order to identify upcoming vaccine clinics hosted by DSHS or local health departments.

It is recommended that most people schedule vaccination appointments online, but for those who are unable to, DSHS will launch a toll-free number with which people can receive assistance scheduling.

In the meantime, you can still find providers here.
