AUSTIN, Texas – Store closures due to COVID-19 precautions are not stopping some businesses from giving back to the community, including Austin-based jewelry retailer Kendra Scott.

Spectrum News’ Dr. Nicole Cross spoke with Sheena Wilde, senior Director of Philanthropy for Kendra Scott, about what the company is doing to help families in need.

While Kendra Scott stores across the country are temporarily closed, customers can still go online and shop.

The company will donate 50 percent of all proceeds from its Everlyne Bracelet to Feeding America's COVID-19 response fund, which is aiding food banks as they support communities impacted by the pandemic.

Kendra Scott is donating 500,000 meals to kick-start the campaign.
