AUSTIN, Texas — Tyler Brady is not afraid to be busy. The Rouse High School senior is staying on top of her classes, while playing soccer and holding down a job.
“School comes first, then soccer and a job. With all the homework you persevere, push through it and face adversity,” Brady says.
Rouse soccer coach Katie Marek said admires her ability to handle so much and says Brady does it all with a great work ethic.
“She gives everything you ask of her plus more,” says Rouse soccer coach Katie Marek. “She is a really good teammate, a great hard worker.”
Brady was a captain on the soccer team her junior year and is now a senior leader.
“I really like the team this year, everyone is like a family,” Brady said.
Off the field Brady excels in the classroom. She has a 4.0 GPA, and takes courses at Austin Community College to get a jump on college credits.
“Might as well get those done while you can, plus it’s a good way to see how college will be,” Brady added.
In addition, she keeps a job and also helps take care of kids in her neighborhood.
“My mom’s friends always ask me to babysit. I’m the top person on Friday when it’s mom and dad date night,” says Brady.
