NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – The 911 call from a cold case that dates back to 2011 has been released of a family calling to report their 18-month-old child missing.

  • Joshua Davis Jr. went missing in 2011
  • 911 call released from New Braunfels police
  • Investigators believe disappearance was suspicious

On the cold night of February 4, 2011, Joshua Davis Jr. went missing from his New Braunfels home. Investigators said the investigation points towards Joshua being most likely deceased.

It was initially reported that the 2-foot-tall, 30-pound toddler wandered outside into the rural area surrounding the home on 2600 Savannah Hill Circle. However, investigators later determined Joshua was not capable of leaving the home himself.

Police confirmed that the people inside the home spent time cleaning up and disposing of drugs prior to calling 911 to report the child missing.

New Braunfels police believe the toddler’s disappearance was suspicious and theorize that he was potentially injured and then removed from the home. Abduction was ruled out based on statements made by the family hours after Joshua’s disappearance.

In 2016, New Braunfels Police Department detectives said they firmly believe key information to solve the case lies with the family members who were home when Joshua went missing. Investigators urge anyone who was home during the incident, including the family members, to come forward with any information to help solve this case.
