HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A woman faces several charges after deputies said she intentionally hit a man with her car while driving nearly three times over the legal blood-alcohol level.

Alicia Belcher was jailed after the incident, which happened just after 7 p.m. Thursday.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said Belcher and the man were traveling eastbound on Interstate 4 when they began arguing. Belcher stopped the vehicle, and the man crossed to the far side of the interstate.
Belcher then crossed over all three lanes and hit the man with her vehicle before fleeing the scene, the Sheriff's Office said.
The man was taken to Tampa General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The man's name was not released.
According to deputies, Belcher registered a breath-alcohol content of 0.219/0.210.
She was charged with DUI with serious bodily injury, leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
