TEMPLE, Texas – A woman is dead after a rock came through a vehicle’s windshield and struck her Saturday night.
- Family of 5 was traveling northbound on I-35
- Someone threw a rock from the railroad track overpass
- Woman died the following morning
According to Temple Police, officers responded to an injury call near the 2600 block of I-35 and Belair Drive.
The caller said a family of five was traveling northbound on the interstate between exits 303 and 305, when someone threw a large rock from the railroad track overpass onto the highway.
The rock came through the vehicle’s windshield, hitting the front seat passenger and causing significant injuries to 33 –year-old Keila Flores.
Flores was taken to Baylor Scott and White Hospital, where she died from her injures Sunday morning.
