HORSESHOE BAY, Texas – Authorities are investigating a plane crash in Horseshoe Bay.
- Plane was doing circles before it nosedived
- FAA investigators on their way to the crash
- Preliminary reports say plane was an RV-8
The Horseshoe Bay Police Department confirmed that first responders are on the scene. According to witness Kenny Ulbright who was fishing on the water, the plane was doing circles before it started to nosedive.
According to the Horseshoe Bay Police Department, the single engine plane crashed into a utility pole on the south side of the highway.
The passengers were identified as Charles Scott, 75, of Lakeway, Texas and Stanley Graham, 73, of Austin. Both of them were conscious and coherent while being transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center.
FAA investigators are on their way to the crash site, and the National Transportation Safety Board has been notified and will be in charge of the investigation.
