Jordan Hicks is a Cajun country transplant living in the Lone Star State since 2016. Although Jordan is a true Louisiana lover, he says that the good food and the good people of Austin have officially won him over. After a year of shooting, writing, and editing his own stories in Waco, Jordan joined the Spectrum News Austin team as a veteran video journalist. Now, he is an anchor/reporter for Spectrum News.

When it comes to his work, Jordan finds inspiration through the people he meets and the ability to share their story. One of Jordan's most memorable stories came from his coverage of a father who spends months of effort putting together a Christmas light show with his neighbors as a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The show directly benefits the kids in the community and is a prime example of a community working together to create a positive impact.

Jordan is a self-proclaimed professional television binge watcher, food truck connoisseur, and lifelong Carolina Panthers fan. So, when he’s not at the news desk, it’s a safe bet that you can find him in front of a TV with his pup, Dexter, or on the search for the latest and greatest food truck to hit the city of Austin.
