SAN MARCOS, Texas – Police in San Marcos are investigating a suspicious death at a local apartment complex that was discovered Wednesday morning.

Authorities are treating the investigation as a robbery-homicide.
Around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, the San Marcos Police Department responded to Park North Condos in the 1600 block of Aquarena Springs Drive to assist San Marcos Hays County EMS. A family member had found a man dead in his apartment, with a single gunshot wound.
The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Aaron “Jack” Jackson Peterman. He was transported to the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy. This is the first homicide in San Marcos this year, and there was only one in the city in 2018.
