AUSTIN, Texas -- Signing day is the culmination of many years of hard work paying off for high school athletes.

Jordan Kerley, of McNeil High School, said it is like a longtime dream coming true.

“It’s always been a dream. It’s like every day I had a football in my hands,” said Kerley. “I knew I wanted to do this.”

“This child slept with a football, so it’s surreal,” said Jordan’s mother Holly Morris.

Kerley signed with Arizona State, he’ll head to the Pac-12 to play receiver for the Sun Devils.

“Just loved the atmosphere there and wanted to continue my career there,” said Kerley. “The future looks really bright for them.”
