Some of the topics Chody discussed during an interview with Spectrum News after the address covered narcotics, human trafficking, and gangs in Texas.

According to Chody, narcotic funds are traveling through Mexico and Texas.

“Law enforcement agencies need more resources to battle the influx of drugs,“ said Chody.

Chody said human trafficking is also an issue in Texas.

“Trafficking women, young women, we’re starting to see that and we are ill prepared in Texas - at least from my county - to even deal with that. Those are the typically delegated to federal law,” said Chody.
