TEMPLE, Texas — The two people from Temple whose bodies were found last month in Oklahoma were actually killed in Killeen, according to a police affidavit.

  • Woman gives police details of Temple homicide
  • Said Jenna Scott and Michael Swearingin were killed by Scott's ex-boyfriend
  • Told police information about where to find their bodies

The affidavit says a woman named Maya Maxwell was at the Killeen home where Cedric Marks killed Jenna Scott and Michael Swearingin on January 3. Marks is Scott's ex-boyfriend.

Maxwell told police Scott and Swearingin were alive at the time they were brought into the home, and they were put in different rooms. Marks entered the room where Swearingin was put and when he left the room, Swearingin was dead. Marks then entered the room where Scott was located, and when he left that room, Scott was also dead.

Maxwell also said she heard struggles in both rooms with both individuals. She then gave police information that the bodies would be found at a property in Oklahoma.

Marks was arrested 12 days later in rural Oklahoma, where police found the bodies.

Maxwell is charged with tampering with evidence.
