BURNET COUNTY — Officials have arrested the man accused of shooting and killing a person in Bartlett, Texas.

At around 4 p.m. on Friday, Bartlett Police responded to a call about a deceased person. When they arrived, they found that the person had died from gunshot wounds.

Police identified the suspect as 32-year-old Archie Samuel Rogers.

Authorities tracked Rogers down to a rural area in Burnet County at around midnight Saturday. He turned himself over to Williamson County SWAT at around 5:30 a.m. The Williamson County and Burnet County Sheriff’s Offices, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Parks and Wildlife and Burnet Fire Department assisted Bartlett police. The Burnet County Sheriff’s Office used reverse 911 to notify nearby residents of the situation

Rogers is charged with 1st degree murder. Officials have not yet released the name of the victim.
