NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — The New Braunfels Police Department is investigating the discovery of human skeletal remains near FM 1044 and Green Valley Road.

Police say a utility crew found the remains on Tuesday and immediately called police.
Authorities say the skeleton is that of an adult. They say additional forensic analysis is needed in order to determine the age, gender, and manner of death.
People can expect see a continued police presence in the area where the bones were discovered as authorities search for additional remains. Green Valley Road between FM 1044 and Ron Road will be closed for most of Wednesday due to the search. Traffic is being diverted down Ron Road to Morningside Drive.
