AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin Police Department is advising residents that the Texas National Guard will fire off a 19-gun salute followed by a military fly over to celebrate the inauguration of Gov. Greg Abbott and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick.
The salute and flyover will happen on Tuesday, January 15 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m.
Residents near the Capitol are advised that it will be a loud event.
