AUSTIN, Texas — The Central Texas Food Bank is planning to host a special distribution for federal employees affected by the shutdown.

The distribution will be held Wednesday, January 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Central Texas Food Bank at 6500 Metropolis Drive.
In addition to distributing food, the food bank is also hosting a resource fair for furloughed workers so they can get more information on other ways they can access food through the food bank's network. Vistors can also learn more about other programs that may be able to help them in their time of need.
Anyone in need can access food through the food bank's network of nearly 300 partner agencies and mobile food pantry distributions throughout Central Texas.
