AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin Parks and Recreation Department reopened the Barton Creek Greenbelt on Friday after heavy rains and high winds forced a temporary closure.

• Barton Springs Pool remains closed until further notice
• Storms caused water, debris and erosion on the trail

Recent storms caused water, debris and erosion on the trail.

Barton Springs Pool are also closed until further notice, due to rapidly moving water. The closure is to help prevent injuries due to high waters and unstable conditions. 

The Parks Department is closely monitoring the pool conditions and will notify the public when it reopens.
