WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas — Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody reported the situation in Georgetown on Monday was connected to a lead regarding the disappearance of Rachel Cooke.

On Monday, Chody said detectives were working in an area near FM 971 and Toll 130 on a past criminal case and the public was not in danger.  

Cooke was 19 years old when she went missing on January 10, 2002 . She was back home from college in San Diego and was last seen jogging in her Georgetown neighborhood.

 

Chody said investigators are moving on to the next lead.
