PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — A local girl in need of a bone marrow transplant has found her match.

Camryn Anderson is the daughter of a Pflugerville Police Department Officer Sgt Kirk Anderson.

She was diagnosed with aplastic anemia, a rare condition that affects the production of new blood cells.

She was given only a year to find a match and received the news last month.

The family is still in need of help to pay for the costs of her treatment.

The Pflugerville Police Department and the Blue Guardians of Pflugerville are hosting a benefit at Chili’s Thursday December 6 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
