Thirty-three-year-old Dylan Mason Bowman was arrested November 8t and charged with indecency with a child, a second-degree felony, punishable up to 20 years.
According to the felony affidavit, the incident occurred on October 31. In that report, a mother claims Bowman, who was a family friend, inappropriately touched her daughter.
Police made several attempts to interview Bowman in person, but according to the arrest warrant, he missed a scheduled interview and never returned their calls thereafter.
Bowman’s work experience meant he was around dozens of young people, prompting the owner of Champions Westlake to send an email to parents late Wednesday night. According to the letter, Bowman worked there for a year, leaving in August 2017. The owner notes in the letter state that Bowman was never accused of any questionable behavior while working there. Still, business management is asking for any parents who may have concerns to please reach out. The email said they prioritize safety and are constantly updating policies to ensure their protection.
Champions Westlake did not get back Thursday with requests for further comment. Spectrum News has also reached out to Bowman’s attorney via phone and email.
