AUSTIN, Texas — Thanksgiving is often spent at home with the family, but others would rather leave the cooking to the professionals.
If you find you want a holiday meal without the holiday cleanup, here are some spots around town open on Thanksgiving.
24 Hour Diner - 600 N Lamar Blvd, Suite 200
Starting at 10:30 a.m. 24 Hour Diner will be serving a traditional Thanksgiving meal for $29 a person. No reservations are required.
Apis Restaurant & Apiary - 23526 Highway 71 West Spicewood, Texas 78669 512-436-8918
This Thanksgiving, Apis is offering diners a special prix fixe menu. Dinner is $70 per adult and $20 per child under 12. Reservations and a credit card are required for all holiday bookings. They are also offering catering.
Alamo Drafthouse - Various Locations,
For $20, movie-goers can add on a turkey dinner that includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and pecan pie.To reserve the dinner, purchase a film ticket for Thanksgiving Day. After you select your seats, you’ll be able to add the Turkey Dinner option to your order.
The Carrillon - 1900 University Ave 512-404-3655
From 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Carillon will be opened for Thanksgiving Day Brunch. Reservations are required. Plates are $68 for adults and $30 for children
Cannon and Belle - 500 E 4th St, 512-493-4900
A buffet-style dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is $49.95 for adults and $22.50 from children 6 to 12.
Ciclo - 98 San Jacinto Blvd, 512-685-8300
With more than a whopping 80 food options, Ciclo is offering its Thanksgiving buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The buffet is $90 for adults and $40 for children ages 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Cracker Barrel - Various locations
One of the chain restaurant's biggest days of the year, Cracker Barrel says it serves on average 652,000 pounds of turkey, 8 million ounces of gravy, 1.6 ounces of Cranberry Relish and million slices of pie. Cracker Barrel also offers special holiday catering.
Cru Wine Bar - Various Locations
Both locations are offering three-course Thanksgiving meal available from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. for $42 per person.
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar - Various locations
Starting at 11 a.m. Fleming's is offering a three-course meal for $42 for adults and $19 for children.
Goodall’s Kitchen - 1900 Rio Grande St, 512-495-1800
Goodall’s Thanksgiving feast will be available from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and features slow roasted turkey, sourdough stuffing and house-made pies. The buffet costs $72 person and $25 for kids 12 and under.
Hoover’s Cooking - 2002 Manor Road, Austin, TX 78722 512-479-5006
From 11 a.m. to 7 Hoover’s will be serving a made-from-scratch, Texas-sized feast. Meals include one entrée, two sides, cornbread dressing caribbean rice, hot bread basket and cranberry sauce for $21. Kids turkey plates are $9.95.
Lonesome Dove - 419 Colorado Street
Lonesome Dove will be opened from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is serving a special Thanksgiving Day menu. You can make reservations online or by phone.
Moonshine Bar & Grill - 303 Red River St., 512-236-9599
Moonshine is offering an all-you-can-eat buffet for $28 a person on a first-come, first-served basis.
Revue - 101 Red River St, 512-600-2000
Located in the Fairmont, Revue is offering a Thanksgiving feast for $85 per person and $19 for children under 13.
Threadgill’s - Various Locations
Both Threadgill’s locations will be open for dine-in service on Thanksgiving Day; however, to-go orders will not be available that day.
Trace - 200 Lavaca Street, 512-542-3660
Located at the W Hotel, Trace will offer a prix fixe three course meal from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. for $60 for adults and children 12 and under for $20.
Second Bar and Kitchen - 3121 Palm Way, Suite 101
The Domain Northside location will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will be serving a special Thanksgiving Day buffet, which includes a carving station.
Stella San Jac - 5th St. & San Jacinto 512-792-5648
A special Thanksgiving meal will be available and is $49 per adult and $29 per child.
