AUSTIN, Texas — The number one high school basketball prospect in Austin is staying close to home.
Westlake High School’s Will Baker announced his commitment to the University of Texas on Thursday. Baker had offers from major programs across the country, but it came down to UT and UCLA.
In the end, the Longhorns offered him everything he was looking for.
"When it came down to it texas was the best for me, Coach Shaka Smart is committed to my success as a player and utilize my offensive ability really looking forward to that"
Baker will be able to sign his official scholarship offer to UT next Wednesday.
