AUSTIN, Texas -- Capital Metro unveiled their vision for Project Connect, a regional transit plan for Central Texas.

Project Connect includes different high-capacity transit options like light rail and buses in different corridors throughout Austin.

However planners are mostly pushing a technology called autonomous rapid transit, or ART. The vehicles are electric, and travel on rubber tires using dedicated paths.

Cap Metro is hosting a community discussion on Wednesday at the Ruiz Library branch on Grove Boulevard from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
