AUSTIN, Texas – Students at Casey Elementary School were evacuated after reports of smoke coming from the ceiling Monday morning.
Crews said there was a light haze coming from a bathroom around 10 a.m. The source of the haze has been determined to be from an exhaust fan with mechanical failure.
A short time later, students were being allowed back into the school cafeteria and gym.
Fire crews evaluated the school for other hazards before allowing students inside.
