CARROLLTON, Texas – A man is in the hospital after a shooting right outside a high school football game in Texas Thursday night.

According to Carrollton police, a fight broke out between parents in the stadium of Hebron High School around 8:35 p.m. The men took their fight to the parking lot where witnesses reported hearing shots fired.

The shooter, a 47-year-old man, was immediately taken into custody.

The victim was shot in the chest and is in critical condition. No one else was injured in the shooting.

Additional officers will be on campus to ensure there isn’t any danger to students.

Carrollton is near Dallas.
