AUSTIN, Texas -- Lawbreakers take note. The Travis County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday deputized a hulking figure in the entertainment business.
Los Angeles County reserve deputy and actor Lou Ferrigno Thursday stopped by the sheriff’s office on his way to the Wizard World Austin convention.
The actor, probably best known for his work in “The Incredible Hulk” in the 1970s and 1980s, chatted with the staff and was sworn in as an honorary deputy by Sheriff Sally Hernandez.
Wizard World Austin runs through the weekend at the Austin Convention Center.
Ferrigno, a bodybuilder-turned-actor, was cast as the Hulk in “The Incredible Hulk” in 1977. He also starred as himself opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1977’s “Pumping Iron.”
