TRAVIS COUNTY – [UPDATE 8/25/18] The two bodies found in southeast Travis County have been identified as 26-year-old Omar Garcia and 23-year-old Nancy Garcia. Both are from Del Valle, Texas. According to the Travis County Sheriff's Office, the two were in a relationship with each other, but not married. 

ORIGINA STORY – The bodies of a man and a woman in their 20s were discovered in southeast Travis County Friday morning.

The bodies were found with gunshot wounds on the 12000 block of Von Quintus Road around 7:06 a.m. A driver passing through the area told police he saw a man lying on the ground in the front yard of a home.

Deputies arriving at the scene discovered the second body on the ground outside the home. Officials said evidence suggests the man and woman knew each other.  

Travis County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the cause of the shooting. They said there is no reason to believe the public is in any danger at this time.

The identity of the victims will not be released until their next of kin is notified.
