AUSTIN, Texas — The City of Austin is asking for help from the local community to clean up West Campus before school starts in the fall.

Every July as University of Texas students move out of their apartments, dumpsters along streets are surrounded by a moat of trash.

The nonprofit Keep Austin Beautiful is partnering with the City of Austin, the State of Texas Alliance for Recycling, and the University of Texas Sustainability Office. 

The groups are asking for volunteers to help students dropping off items.
