AUSTIN, Texas -- Survivors of last week’s mass shooting at Santa Fe High School were part of Gov. Greg Abbott’s third day of roundtable discussions on school safety. The closed-door meeting is the final one Abbott called to address how to better protect schools following the shooting in Santa Fe that killed 10 people. We’ll hear from some of the survivors. We also speak with Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-Austin, about why he’s been skeptical that anything will come out of the discussions.

Texas is excusing students affected from some passing requirements on statewide standardized testing after glitches were experienced. The state is also fining the firm that administers exams.
