FORT WORTH — Show craft brewers an ingredient you’d think they’d never be able to use in their brews, and they’ll accept your challenge, and raise you a surprisingly delicious concoction.

Collective Brewing Project, out of Fort Worth, is one of those breweries who takes chances (ie: its Cup O’ Beer, a Ramen-flavored gose that came out last summer), and this Easter, they want you to “peep" their latest — Peeps-flavored beer.

The beer is made in conjunction with a local bar, Lone Star Taps & Caps. It’s a sour ale that contains more than 30 boxes of Peeps, as well as edible glitter to make it shine.

The taste is described as “marshmallow-y and lightly tart.”

The official release happens Friday, March 30, at 6 p.m. at the Fort Worth taproom, 112 St. Louis Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104.

Unfortunately, the beer will be draft only. The brewery says that crowlers will be available, but that they’re unable to ship the beer due to “laws and stuff.”
