Born in Brooklyn, New York, Stef was raised into a family of athletes and avid sports fans, so it’s only fitting that Stef got her start in the news business as a sports reporter. Fast forward to 2017, Stef is now the morning anchor on Spectrum News Austin.
Stef is a decorated reporter to say the least. She has been named the winner of the Texas Associated Press Award and has been nominated for three Lone Star Emmy awards. Stef has covered her fair share of impactful stories, however, her coverage of Hurricane Harvey is something she says she’ll never forget. Seeing such a massive storm first-hand and the widespread devastation it caused was hard to see, let alone report on. But the way the city — and the state — rallied around them made her realize that the good in the world will always outweigh the bad.
When Stef isn’t at work, you can find her watching baseball and planning her next trip the few remaining baseball stadiums she’s yet to visit!
When she’s not anchoring or reporting on Friday nights on high school football, you can find Stef out on a run, trying out some of Austin’s best eats, and cheering on her Yankees, Packers, Wolverines and Rangers!
