Alese Underwood has been reporting the news for nearly a decade, and has worked in four different cities throughout the course of her career. Today, this Pittsburgh native is rooted in San Antonio as a reporter for Spectrum News, where she gets to tell the stories from the heartbeat of her own community everyday.

Being named a “Texas Top 50 Women to Watch” and the winner of the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters Award, it’s safe to say that Alese is a veteran reporter. After covering countless stories, Alese says that nothing has quite impacted her like her time covering the Sutherland Springs shooting. Alese was boots on the ground for nearly a week and for the many follow-up stories that came after. The strength, faith, and grace of that community is something that she says cannot be measured, and ultimately changed her as a reporter.

Aside from journalism, Alese’s next greatest passion is fitness and health. So when she’s not on scene covering a story, you can find her in the gym with her husband or taking her pup, Foxy, on a run.
