DURHAM – We’re getting more details about three of the four people killed in the crash of a Duke Life Flight helicopter crash on Friday.
Flight nurses Kris Harrison and Crystal Sollinger and pilot Jeff Burke, along with a patient, were killed when the helicopter crashed near Belvidere in Perquimans County.
Grief counselors were on duty to support Duke and other staff affected by the loss.
GoFundMe accounts have been created for the families of two of the victims.
So far, an account for Burke's family has raised more than $6,000. More than $20,000 has been raised for Harrison's family.
The name of the patient who died has not been released.
