A notorious Bronx strip club is now closed.

A sign in front of Sin City Cabaret on Park Avenue urges customers to stay in touch.

NY1 has learned the club's owner told staff the doors would remain shut pending a court case.

In May, the state revoked Sin City's liquor license after discovering it was not under the owner's name.

The club was allowed to continue operating while its lawyers filed an appeal.

On Thursday an appellate court denied their motion.

Sin City has long been a point of contention for many residents and politicians who say it draws violence and drug activity.

An online petition says the club is being unfairly targeted and has provided thousands of jobs to the community.

The petition has only received about 400 signatures.
